Betty White will host SNL! This after a massive fan movement to put her on the show erupted when White appeared in a Super Bowl commercial on January 31. At an Oscars party Sunday night, Betty White confirmed her SNL hosting gig! (Don't you love
Lorne Michaels recently said that he's in talks withBetty White to appear on Saturday Night Live, but it hasn't been confirmed CONFIRMED until now! At an Oscar party on Sunday, Betty White told People that she is doing SNL. Betty didn't say if she going to be a part of the "Women of Comedy" with Tina Fey or if she's going to handle that bitch by herself. Betty's lips are sealed for now.
You now have a reason to take a piece of cheesecake, throw it in a blender, add a bottle of anything that's 90 proof or more, pulse away until it's the consistency of puppy barf and then chug away while humming the Golden Girls theme song. Actually, once you drink it, I think your bowels will hum the Golden Girls theme song for you.
And if you don't have cheesecake, you can make this "refreshing" coffee cocktail courtesy of everyone's favorite drunktard Sandra Lee! It's basically Sanka, stale coffee beans, heavy cream and every kind of li-kooooor you've got in your cabinet. Gorgeous!

Keanu Reeves hinted at a possible "Bill & Ted" ... Read more
The internet is abuzz that a new Bill & Ted movie might be in the works, but sadly the source of the speculation isn’t that substantial. On the red carpet for the Academy Awards, MTV asked Keanu Reeves if we’d be seeing a new Bill & Ted sequel in the future. Reeves laughed and responded by saying “I’m trying, I’m trying.”
MTV journo Josh Horowitz asked if he was joking, to which Reeves responded “I’m not…” Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves back together again? “We’ll See.” You can watch the clip from yourself embedded after the jump. It’s very hard to tell if Reeves is just trying to appease the MTV interviewer or is actually serious about his reply. Either way, I think another Excellent Adventure may be years and years off.
Betty White is Hollywood's (88-year-old) cool kid of the moment, and "Saturday Night Live" now has her on their roster.
NBC has yet to confirm officially but a source close to the show tells Zap2it that White signed on a couple weeks ago and the plan at this time is for former "SNL" castmate Molly Shannon to do the show with White at some point in May.
And when asked about whether she was headed to the "SNL" stage White herself said "Yes" while attending Elton's John's post-Oscar party on Sunday.
Always good for making us laugh, White had a touchdown with her Snicker's commercial during the Super Bowl and one fan started a campaign on Facebook called "Betty White to Host SNL." Nearly 500,000 people have joined the rallying cry.
Hip grandma Betty White will soon be staying up nine hours past her bedtime. People caught up with the aged star at Elton John's Oscars viewing party where she confirmed the rumors that she will appear on an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, though she doesn't know when. Originally, it was believed she would appear on a "Women of Comedy" episode alongside Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Molly Shannon but Lorne Michaels has shot down those reports.
It's not known whether she will host or provide a cameo but White is just happy for to be a part of the confusing campaign. "I don't know why or how," says White, "but it's been wonderful." Though at the age of 88, I'm sure more than a few things confuse her. Like young women nowadays always putting their elbows on the table. Back in her day, a lady knew how to ensnare a man. (People)
The Facebook page ÒBetty White to Host SNL (please?)!Ó is giving new credence to the lyrics “Thank you for being a friend” today, as People has confirmed that the Golden Girls star will be appearing on Saturday Night Live in the near future.
When asked at Elton John’s Oscar-viewing party last night whether she would be appearing on Saturday Night Live, the actress answered in the affirmative. We’re not sure in what capacity the comedienne will be taking the SNL stage — whether as host or as part of the “Women of Comedy” special we reported on a few weeks ago, but we’re certain that her nearly 500,000 fans will be pleased to hear the good news.
The page was started by ardent fan David Mathews back on December 30, 2009, and has since garnered its share of media attention. White was launched back into the public eye after appearing in a popular Super Bowl Snickers commercial and in the romantic comedy The Proposal, also starring Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. Twilight star Robert Pattinson even called her sexy – breaking the hearts of thousands of teen girls across the nation. It certainly has been a banner year for White so far.
So what’s next Mathews? “Betty White to Host the Oscars (please?)!” Why not? If you can dream it, you can do it, man.
